La bohème was a very dramatic opera. The scenery built up an atmosphere, the snow made it feel cold in the Coliseum.

Mary Plazas - who played Mimi, nearly made me cry at the end when she died. The director made this affective by adding in talking in that scene (not singing). Mimi always pretended that everything was happy and jolly, when she really was sick and dying. Colline (played by Matthew Rose) was a very mysterious character. I felt that Musetta (Giselle Allen) was an attention seeker and she always seemed to get her way. All the characters sing great in harmony together, and it is very convenient having the words they are singing above the stage.

My favourite scene is when the unicycle crossed the stage. I liked this scene because it was very impressive having a real unicycle on stage. Also, that scene was full of children and atmosphere.

2006 - In November, takepart! members were given a back stage tour of the set of 'Mikado' by Gilbert and Sullivan and were took part in vocal and movement sessions with professional singers and actors from the cast.

2005 - 'On the Town' by Leonard Bernstein
